कालिना कॅम्पसची साहित्यरत्न अण्णाभाऊ साठे विद्यानगरी करा!

मुंबई,दि,३० जुलै २०२०: देशाच्या सीमा ओलांडून जगभरात पोहोचलेले महाराष्ट्राच्या मातीतील उत्तुंग साहित्य रत्न अण्णाभाऊ साठे यांच्या जन्म शताब्दीची सांगता शनिवारी (१ऑगस्ट) होत आहे. त्याचे औचित्य साधून राज्यातील महाविकास आघाडी सरकारने सांताक्रूझ येथील मुंबई विद्यापीठाच्या कालिना कॅम्पसचे नाव ‘ साहित्य रत्न अण्णाभाऊ साठे विद्यानगरी’ असे करावे, अशी मागणी ‘आंबेडकरी लोक संग्राम’ने केली आहे.
त्या संघटनेने मुख्यमंत्री उद्धव ठाकरे यांना पाठवलेल्या एका निवेदनात प्रा डॉ जो के डोंगरगावकर, ज्येष्ठ पत्रकार दिवाकर शेजवळ आणि अच्युत भोईटे यांनी ही मागणी केली आहे.
अण्णाभाऊ साठे यांना वयाच्या १५ व्या वर्षापर्यंत अक्षरांची ओळख नव्हती. केवळ दीड दिवसांची शाळा अण्णाभाऊंनी पाहिली.तरीही अफाट आणि अन् अचाट शब्दसामर्थ्याने उपेक्षित, वंचित, गरीब, कष्टकरी अशा सर्वहारा समुहाच्या वेदनेचा ठाव त्यांनी घेतला. हतबल जगणं, ठसठसणारं दुःख्ख आणि गलितगात्र परिस्थितीचा हुंकार बनून त्यांची लेखणी आग ओकत राहिली. तिने प्रस्थापित साहित्याला जबरदस्त हादरे दिले,असे त्या निवेदनात म्हटले आहे.
मनोरंजनातून प्रबोधन आणि प्रबोधनातून परिवर्तन हे सूत्र आपल्या वाणीच्या व लेखणीच्या माध्यमातून महाराष्ट्राच्या मातीत रुजवणाऱ्या अण्णाभाऊंनी संयुक्त महाराष्ट्र लढ्याचा आवाज बुलंद केला होता, याची आठवण राज्य सरकारला करून देण्यात आली आहे.
प्रस्थापित व्यवस्थेने मागास ठरवलेली जात अण्णाभाऊंच्या वाट्याला आली. या जात व्यवस्थेचे चटके त्यांच्या कैक पिढ्यांनी वाटेगावपासून अनुभवले. झोपडपट्टीतलं किड्यामुंग्यांचं जगणं पाठीवर घेऊन गुदमरलेला श्वास कसा मुक्त करता येईल यासाठी अण्णाभाऊंनी अखेरपर्यंत आपली लेखणी झिजवली.त्यांच्या फकीरा या एकाच कांदबरीने साहित्यविश्वाला अक्षरशः जिंकले आहे. आज ती कांदबरी अजरामर ठरली आहे, असे आंबेडकरी लोक संग्रामने म्हटले आहे.

अण्णाभाऊ साठे यांनी अहंकार, कुरुप, आग, फुलपाखरु, आघात, अग्निदिव्य, रानबोका, रुपा, रत्ना, वारणेचा वाघ, अलगूज, चिखलातील कमळ, चंदन, सैरसोबत, जीवंत काडतूस, आवडी, वैर, गुलाम, माकडीचा माळ, संघर्ष, फकीरा, वैजयंता अशा अनेकविध कांदब-या आणि कितीतरी कथा, प्रवासवर्णने, लोकनाट्ये लिहून साहित्या मोलाची भर टाकली आहे.
