आंबेडकरी चळवळीतील जेष्ठ पत्रकार आणि संपादक मा.गुणाजी काजीर्डेकर यांचे नाव आदराने घेतले जाते .
गेल्या तीस ते चाळीस वर्षांपासून ते पत्रकारिता करत आहेत. आंबेडकरी चळवळी मधला दलित पँथर चा क्रांतिकारी काळ त्यांनी प्रत्यक्ष चळवळीत राहून अनुभवला जीथे पँथर चा जन्म झाला ते मुंबईतील कामठीपुऱ्यातील बापटी रोड चे सिध्दार्थ नगर या कोकणातील लोकबहुल आंबेडकरी समूहातील ठिकाणं.त्यांचा जन्म ही तिथलाच संपुर्ण सिद्धार्थ नगर पँथरमय.याच पँथर चा जन्म आणि शेवट आपल्या साक्षीनं पाहणारे जे काहिंजन आहेत त्यातील प्रमुख म्हणून गुणाजी काजीर्डेकर ओळखलें जातात.
नवा काळ,नवशक्ती,शिवनेर आदी प्रमुख वृत्तपत्रात आणि अनेक छोट्या मोट्या मासिके ,नियतकालिके यात सातत्याने लिखाण करून त्याकाळी संपुर्ण आंबेडकरी चळवळीतील घडामोडीचे संकलन करून लोकांसमोर आपले स्वताचे मत निर्भीडपणे मांडणारे एक जेष्ठ पत्रकार म्हणूनही त्यांना चळवळीत ओळखले जाते.
मुंबईत जनतेच्या महानायकात कार्यकारी संपादक म्हणून काम पाहत असताना जनतेच्या महानायक वृत्तपत्राला आंबेडकरी वाचकांपर्यंत लोकप्रियता मिळवून देण्यासाठी त्यांचे योगदान महत्त्वाचे आहे . सध्या विश्वापथ या वृत्तपत्रकात ते संपादकीय जबाबदारी पाहत आहेत.
