महाराष्ट्राने 60 वा वर्धापन दिन आज साजरा केला। हे मराठी राज्य साकारणाऱ्या घनघोर संघर्षाचा इतिहास आठवताना त्या लढ्यातील नेमके डॉ बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांच्याच योगदानाचे सगळ्यांना विस्मरण कसे होते, अशी खंत फुले-आंबेडकरी इतिहासाचे प्रख्यात संशोधक प्रा. Hari R. Narke यांनी व्यक्त केली आहे। ती रास्तच आहे।
संयुक्त महाराष्ट्रासाठीच्या लढ्याचे नेतृत्व डॉ बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांनीच करावे, अशी इच्छा प्रबोधनकार ठाकरे यांची होती। एका भेटीत त्यासाठी आग्रह धरला असता त्यांना बाबासाहेब म्हणाले की, सगळे पक्ष त्यासाठी एकवटले तर माझा पक्ष तुमच्यापाठी जिब्राल्टर सारखा उभा राहील। त्यानुसार, संयुक्त महाराष्ट्र समिती स्थापन झाल्यानंतर त्या ऐतिहासिक लढ्यात शेकाफे आणि नंतर रिपब्लिकन पक्ष अग्रभागी राहिला होता। रिपब्लिकन सेनानी, कर्मवीर दादासाहेब गायकवाड हे त्या आंदोलनाच्या सुत्रधारांपैकी एक होते।
वयाची नव्वदी पार केलेले दिनू रणदिवे हे संयुक्त महाराष्ट्राच्या लढ्यात आघाडीवर राहिलेले पत्रकार महर्षी आहेत। महाराष्ट्राची निर्मिती ही गिरणी कामगारांची ‘कामगारशक्ती’ आणि डॉ बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांची ‘भीमशक्ती’ यांच्या एकजुटीच्या लढ्याचे फलित आहे, याची आठवण ते नेहमीच करून देत आले आहेत।
पण गिरण्यांच्या जागी उभे राहिलेले गगनचुंबी टॉवर्स आणि मॉल्सच्या साम्राज्यात गिरणी कामगार जसा नामशेष होऊन इतिहासजमा झाला, तशीच गत संयुक्त महाराष्ट्राच्या लढ्यावेळी मुख्य राजकीय प्रवाहातील घटक असलेल्या रिपब्लिकन पक्षाची झाली। तो पक्ष ताज्या निवडणुकानंतर संसदीय राजकारणातून पुरता हद्दपार झाला आहे।
त्यापक्षाने 1990 ते 2009 अशी दोन दशके भाजप- शिवसेना यांना सत्तेवर येऊ न देण्यासाठी कॉग्रेस- राष्ट्रवादी यांना साथ दिली। अन 2014 पासून तो पक्ष भाजपला सतेसाठी साथ देत आहे। मात्र 2019 च्या विधानसभा निवडणुकीनंतर महाराष्ट्रात भाजपला सत्तेतून हद्दपार करणारी सत्तेची नवी समीकरणे आकारास आली। 2014 च्या मोदी लाटेपूर्वी भाजप- शिवसेना यांना यांना सत्तेपासून दूर ठेवण्यात शरद पवार यांना ‘फुले-शाहू-आंबेडकर’ या समिकरणाने यश दिले होते। मोदी आणि भाजपने त्या समिकरणालाच 2014 मध्ये रामदास आठवले, रामविलास पासवान, उदित राज यांनी सोबत घेऊन सुरुंग लावला। अन देशभरात काँग्रेसचे नष्टचर्य सुरू झाले।
मात्र 2019 च्या लोकसभा निवडणुकीत पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी दुसऱ्यांदा केंद्राची सत्ता काबीज केल्यानंतर राज्यात शिवसेनेशी केलेली मित्रद्रोहाची करणी भाजपच्या मुळावर आली। त्यातच मोदी यांनी शरद पवार यांना जाहीर सभांतून ‘गुरुवर्य’ म्हणतच त्यांच्याभोवती ‘ईडी’ चा फास आवळण्याचा डाव ऐन निवडणुकीत खेळलेला डाव ताजाच होता। मग शिवसेना- भाजप यांना सत्तेपासून दूर ठेवण्यात यापूर्वी सफल ठरलेल्या पवार यांनी भाजपला सत्तेतून बाहेर फेकून एकाकी पाडण्याचा चमत्कार करून दाखवला। त्यातून राज्यात शिवसेना, राष्ट्रवादी आणि काँग्रेस यांच्या महाविकास आघाडीचे सरकार मुख्यमंत्री उद्धव ठाकरे यांच्या नेतृत्वाखाली स्थापन झाले।
महाराष्ट्रात घडलेल्या या नव्या राजकीय परिवर्तनाच्या पार्श्वभूमीवर राजकारणात रिपब्लिकन पक्ष आणि अन्य आंबेडकरवादी पक्ष कुठल्या स्थानावर उभे आहेत? हे पक्ष आंबेडकरी समाजाची बलाढ्य आणि निर्णायक ताकद पाठीशी असतानाही एखाद्या खासदारकी,आमदारकीवर संतुष्ट राहण्याचे परोपजीवी राजकारण आणखी किती काळ करत राहणार आहेत ? अन तसे राजकारण ज्यांना मान्य नाही ते पक्ष तरी आपल्या जनाधाराची मर्यादा, ताकदीचे वास्तव याचे भान न ठेवता स्वबळाचे राजकीय कंगालखोरीचे राजकारण किती काळ पुढे रेटणार आहेत?
