नागपुर से लेकर मुंबई तक जितने भी रेलवे के प्रमुख जंक्शन / स्टेशन हैं उनपर काम करनेवाले रेलवे के बौद्ध मज़दूर और कर्मचारियों के यहाँ हिंदी पढ़ने लिखने का संस्कार डॉ.भदंत आनंद कौसल्यायन का किया हुआ है।
आंबेडकरी साहित्य और आंदोलन में मराठी भाषा के साथ-साथ महाराष्ट्र के कई कवि, गीतकार और कार्यकर्ता रहें हैं जिनकी रचनाएँ तो मिलती हैं लेकिन उनकी जानकारी नहीं मिल पाती। आंबेडकरी साहित्य और आंदोलन का महाराष्ट्र सहित देश के अन्य हिस्सों में हिंदी के प्रसार-प्रचार में विशेष योगदान रहा हैं। अपने शोध के दौरान मुझे स्वतंत्रता पूर्व अस्पृश्य विद्यार्थियों के हिंदी पढ़ने के कुछ दस्तावेज़ मिले हैं उसमें हिंदी पढ़नेवाले एक विद्यार्थी सो.ध.सपकाले द्वारा दलित भारत पाक्षिक में लिखा गया (७.११.१९४७) यह अभिनंदन पत्र आप देख सकते हैं’।
