आशिया खंडातील नोबल पुरस्कार म्हणून ओळखल्या जाणारा मानाचा “रॅमन मॅगसेसे पुरस्कार”..!
रावीश कुमार एक सडेतोड व जनतेच्या प्रश्नांची जाणीव असणारे पत्रकार….!
रविश कुमार हे १९९६ पासून एनडीटीव्हीमध्ये काम करत आहेत .सर्वसामान्य माणसांचा आवाज म्हणून लोकशाहीचा चौथा खांब म्हणून माध्यमे अर्थात पत्रकारिता….आणि त्यांनी चालवलेला मीडिया मात्र अलीकडे या लोकशाहीच्या चौथ्या खांबांची दुर्दशा झालीय कित्येकदा या माध्यमाच्या माध्यमाचा दुरुपयोग ही केला जातोय .
सरकार कोणाचे ही असो मात्र आपली बांधीलकी ही सर्वसामान्य जनतेच्या व देशा शी असते आणि त्यानूसारच आपले कार्य सुरू ठेवणारे काही मोजके पत्रकार अजूनही आहेत .
एनडीटीव्हीचे पत्रकार रविश कुमार हे त्यातलीच एक म्हणून ओळखले जातात यांना आशिया खंडातील नोबल पुरस्कार म्हणून ओळखल्या जाणारा मानाचा रॅमन मॅगसेसे पुरस्कार जाहीर झाला आहे. पत्रकारिता क्षेत्रातील कामासाठी रविश कुमार यांना हा पुरस्कार जाहीर झाला आहे.या पुरस्कार विजेत्यांच्या नावांची आज रॅमन मॅगसेसे पुरस्कार फाउंडेशनने घोषणा केली.
रवीश कुमार यांची या पुरस्कारासाठी निवडताना निवड समितीने त्यांच्यातील काही खास गुणांचा गौरव केला आहे. कामाप्रती असणारी त्यांची प्रतिबद्धता, उच्च दर्जाची आणि पत्रकारिता करता असणारी नैतिकता, त्यांचे सत्यासोबत उभी राहण्याची हिंमत, सचोटी आणि स्वातंत्र्य भूमिका घेणे हे गुण कौतुकास्पद आहेत. सत्तेला शांतपणे प्रश्न विचारत पत्रकारितेच्या माध्यमातून लोकशाही बळकट करण्याच्या त्यांच्या प्रयत्नांचा हा सत्कार आहे’ मॅगसेसेने म्हटले आहे.
रवीश कुमार यांच्याबरोबर म्यानमारमधील पत्रकार को स्वी वीन, थायलंडच्या अंगखाना नेलापाजीत, फिलिपिन्सच्या रेम्युंडो पुतांजे सायाबयाब आणि दक्षिण कोरियामधील किम जाँग की यांना हा मानाचा पुरस्कार जाहिर झालाय.
