आंबेडकरी चळवळीतील ज्येष्ठ विचारवंत, बौद्धजन पंचायत समितीचे माजी उपसभापती प्रा. रमाकांत यादव यांचे आज बुधवार दि.१८ नोव्हेंबर रोजी २०२० रोजी निधन झाले.
राजापूर तालुका बौद्धजन संघाचे एस.जी. उर्फ शिवराम जी. येळवणकर, एम.बी.कोटकर, विश्राम बाळू वाडगावकर गुरूजी (राजापूर तालुका महार ज्ञाती पंचायत समितीचे पहिले अध्यक्ष व समाज समता संघाचे रत्नागिरी जिल्ह्याचे सरचिटणीस!), चिंतामण भांबेडकर, प्रवचनकार प्रसेनजित वडवलकर गुरूजी, बौद्धाचार्य बी. एस.ताम्हाणेकर यांसारख्या हजारो युवकांनी धम्मदिक्षेनंतरच्या बौद्ध समाजाच्या मार्गदर्शकाची भूमिका पार पाडली, ज्यामध्ये रमाकांत यादव सर आघाडीवर होते असे म्हटले तर अतिशयोक्ती ठरू नये.
जिल्हा सिंधुदुर्ग, वैभववाडी तालुक्यातील कुसूर या गावचे सुपुत्र असलेले प्रा. यादव सर म्हणजे इतिहास संशोधनाला प्राधान्य देणारा व कृतीशिल कार्यकर्ता असेच मी म्हणेन. सरांचे शालेय शिक्षण डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकरांचे सहकारी व समाज समता संघाचे एक दिग्गज नेते अशी ओळख असलेल्या म.वा. दोंदे यांच्या आर. एम. भट शाळेत झाले.१९५८ साली सर मॅट्रीक (माध्यमिक शालांत परीक्षा, जी SSC म्हणून ओळखली जाते) उत्तीर्ण झाले. त्यानंतर त्यांनी सिद्धार्थ महाविद्यालयात प्रवेश केला. १९५६ साली विश्वरत्न डॉ.बाबासाहेब आंबेडकरांचे महापरिनिर्वाण झाल्यानंतर सामाजिक जाणिवा आणि जबाबदारी खांद्यावर घेऊन बौद्ध समाजाच्या सामाजिक उत्थानाचे कार्य करणारी पहिली पिढी पुढे आली त्यापैकी प्राचार्य रमाकांत यादव हे एक होते. राजापूर तालुका बौद्धजन संघाचे एस.जी. उर्फ शिवराम जी. येळवणकर, एम.बी.कोटकर, विश्राम बाळू वाडगावकर गुरूजी (राजापूर तालुका महार ज्ञाती पंचायत समितीचे पहिले अध्यक्ष व समाज समता संघाचे रत्नागिरी जिल्ह्याचे सरचिटणीस!), चिंतामण भांबेडकर, प्रवचनकार प्रसेनजित वडवलकर गुरूजी, बौद्धाचार्य बी. एस.ताम्हाणेकर यांसारख्या हजारो युवकांनी धम्मदिक्षेनंतरच्या बौद्ध समाजाच्या मार्गदर्शकाची भूमिका पार पाडली, ज्यामध्ये रमाकांत यादव सर आघाडीवर होते असे म्हटले तर अतिशयोक्ती ठरू नये.
सामाजिक प्रश्न व परिसंवाद म्हटले की, रमाकांत यादव-प्राचार्य यादवराव गांगुर्डे ही जोडगोळी ठरलेली! माझगावच्या व लव्हलेन मधील बी.आय.टी चाळीतील प्रारंभीचे वास्तव्य, अचानक डॉ.बाबासाहेबांच्या आदेशावरून होतकरू विद्यार्थ्यांना ‘ राजगहा’ त झालेली सोय! ज्यामध्ये यादव सर होते! ही संधी मिळाल्याची कृतज्ञता व्यक्त करीत आयुष्यभर उपकाराची जाणीव ठेवणारे रमाकांत यादव, आम्ही जवळून पाहिलेत.
त्यांचा एक आवडता शिष्य राजापूर तालुका बौद्धजन संघाचे विश्वस्त असलेले मिलिंद तांबे याचे मे मध्ये कोरोना काळात निधन झाल्याची बातमी कळताच व्यक्त केलेली हळहळ मी जवळून पाहिली आहे. कार्यकर्ता मोठा की, छोटा यापेक्षा तो प्रामाणिकपणे काम करतो याचे त्यांना भारी अप्रुप!
