धम्म चक्र प्रवर्तन दिनाच्यानिमित्ताने हातात पंचशील ध्वज अन् शुभ्र वस्त्र परिधान केलेल्या जगभरातील लाखो बौद्ध अनुयायी दिक्षाभूमीवर आले असून दीक्षाभूमी फुलू लागली आहे.
यानिमित्ताने सोमवारी सकाळी भदंत आर्य नागार्जुन सुरेई ससाई यांच्या नेतृत्वात बौद्ध धम्मदीक्षा विधीला सुरुवात झाली.दुसऱ्या दिवशी पाच हजार अनुयायांनी बौद्ध धम्माची दीक्षा घेतली, दीक्षाभूमीवर मोठ्या प्रमाणावर बौद्ध धम्मीय लोक जमा झाले आहेत .
डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर स्मारक समितीच्यावतीने भदंत सुरेई ससाई यांच्या मार्गदर्शनात दीक्षाभूमीवर धम्मदीक्षा सोहळा आयोजित केला जातो.दरवर्षी सुमारे २० ते २५ हजारावर लोक बौद्ध धम्माची दीक्षा घेतात.धम्म दिक्षा घेण्यात तरुण आणि महिलांची संख्या लक्षणीय आहे.
आज धम्म चक्र प्रवर्तन दिन जगभर आजचा दिवस धम्म चक्र प्रवर्तन दिन म्हणून ओळखला जातो याच दिवशी महामानव डॉ बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांनी रक्ताचं एक ही थेम्ब न सांडता तथागत गौतम बुद्धांचा धम्म जाहीरपणे आपल्या ५लाख अनुयायांना सोबत घेऊन स्वीकारला. याचे विवेचन करताना आंबेडकरी चळवळीतील जेष्ठ संशोधक आणि प्रकाशक मा.सुनील सोनवणे म्हणतात……!
“धम्मचक्रप्रर्वतन”
डॉ.आंबेडकरांचे धम्मचक्र प्रर्वतन एक क्रांतीकारी घटणा होती.१४ अक्टोंबर १९५६ रोजी त्यांनी आपल्या पांचलाख अनुयायां सोबत नागपूर येथे भीख्खु चंद्र मणी महाथेरो यांच्या हस्ते बुद्ध धम्माची दीक्षा घेतली व स्वता: उपस्थितांना दीक्षा दिली आणि बुद्ध धम्माच्या कल्याणकारी मार्गाचे मार्गदर्शन केले. डॉ आंबेडकर हे अधूनिक भारताचे निर्माते होते.भारताचे संविधान हे बौद्ध संस्कृतीचा उत्कृष्ट नमुना आहे.ज्या मुळे माणसा माणसातील भेद नष्ट होऊन समता, स्वातंत्र्य, बंधूत्व व सामाजिक न्यायाचे कल्याणकारी बुद्ध अनुशासन निर्माण होण्यास चालना मिळाली.हे बुद्धानंतर तिसऱ्यांदा व स.अशोकानंतर दुसऱ्यांदा केलेले धम्मचक्र प्रवर्तन होय.”धम्मचक्रप्रर्वतन”होय.
आज दिक्षा भूमीवर करोडो ग्रंथांची खरेदी विक्री होईल गेल्या वर्षी तेरा कोटी ग्रंथांची विक्री झालीं या वर्षी ही विक्रमी विक्री होईल असे जाणकार आपले मत व्यक्त करतात.
आंबेडकरी बौद्ध समाज आता जागृत असून तो आपली भूक ज्ञानाच्या माध्यमातून पुरी करताना दिसत आहे हे यावरून सिद्ध होते .
