कोकणातील आणखी एका बुध्दिवंताची नामांकित मुंबई विद्यापीठाच्या कुलगुरू पदावर निवड..!
मुंबईतील माटुंग्याच्या रामनारायण रुईया स्वायत्त महाविद्यालयाचे प्राचार्य डॉ. सुहास रघुनाथ पेडणेकर यांची
नियुक्ती कुलगुरूपदावर महामहिम राज्यपाल विद्यासागर
राज्यपाल तथा कुलपती सी. विद्यासागर राव यांनी शुक्रवारी नियुक्ती केली .तसे डॉ. पेडणेकर यांना राजभवन येथे बोलावून नियुक्तीचे पत्र सुपूर्द केले अन अखेर मुंबई विद्यापीठाला सहा महिन्यांच्या प्रतिक्षेनंतर नवे कुलगुरु मिळाले.
गेल्या वर्षभर मुंबई विद्यापीठातील होणारा परिक्षांमधिल घोळ अन त्यातीन होणारी विद्यार्थ्यांची परवड आदि मुद्यांच्या वादविवादानं गेल्या वर्षी २४ ऑक्टोबर रोजी डॉ. संजय देशमुख यांची विद्यापीठाच्या कुलगुरू पदावरुन उचलबांगडी करण्यात आली होती. तेव्हापासून मुंबई विद्यापीठाचे कुलगुरूपद रिक्त झाले होते.
मुंबई विद्यापीठाच्या कुलगुरुपदी निवड करण्यात आलेले डाॅ.पेडणेकर हे सिंधुदुर्ग जिल्हातल्या मालवण तालुक्यातील हडी गावचे सुपुत्र आहेत . या पुर्वी कोकणातील सुपुत्र अर्थतज्ञ डाॅ.भालचंद्र मुणगेकर यांची नियुक्ती झाली होती.
डाॅ. मुणगेकर अन डाॅ.पेडणेकर हे दोघे ही कोकणाचे सुपत्र आहे.डाॅ.पेडणेकर यांच्या निमित्ताने कोकणाकडे दुसर्‍यांदा मुंबई विद्यापीठाचे कुलगुरूपद आले आहे.
गेल्या सहा महिन्यांपासुन कोल्हापुरच्या राजा शिवाजी विद्यापीठाचे कुलगुरू डॉ देवानंद शिंदे हे मुंबई विद्यापीठाच्या कुलगुरू पदाचा अतिरिक्त कार्यभार पाहत होते.
महाराष्टाचे राज्यपाल मा.विद्यासागर राव यांनी
मुंबई विद्यापीठाच्या कुलगुरूंच्या निवडीसाठी यांनी इस्रोचे माजी अध्यक्ष डॉ. के. कस्तुरीरंगन यांच्या अध्यक्षतेखाली निवड समिती नेमली होती. डॉ श्यामलाल सोनी (संचालक, राष्ट्रीय तंत्रज्ञान संस्था, पौडी गढवाल, उत्तराखंड) व भूषण गगराणी (उपाध्यक्ष व व्यवस्थापकीय संचालक, सिडको) यांचा देखील समितीमध्ये समावेश होता.
या समितीने रसायनशास्त्राचे प्राध्यापक तसेच माटुंग्याच्या रामनारायण रुईया या स्वायत्त महाविद्यालयाचे प्राचार्य डॉ.
डॉ. सुहास रघुनाथ पेडणेकर यांच्या करियरचा आलेख पहाता त्यांची नियुक्ती केली.या नियुक्तीने सर्वच थरातुन त्यांचे अभिनंदन करण्यात येत आहे.
