आरटीओ निरीक्षकावर गाडी रोखून ट्रॉम्बे येथे हल्ला!दोघांना अटक; दोघे फरार..!
ट्रॉम्बे – सायन रोडवर डंपर माफियांची दहशत..?
मुंबई, दि 2 फेब्रुवारी: वाहनांनाच्या क्षमतेपेक्षा अधिक माल वाहून नेल्याबद्दल केलेल्या कारवाईचा सूड उगवण्यासाठी डंपर माफियाने एका आरटीओ निरीक्षकावर त्याची गाडी रोखून प्राणघातक हल्ला केल्याची घटना नुकतीच घडली आहे। हल्ल्यात जखमी झालेल्या आरटीओ निरीक्षकाचे नाव मनोज पैठणकर असे असून ते बौद्ध समाजातील आहेत।
या प्रकरणात ट्रॉम्बे पोलिसांनी गुन्हा दाखल करताच हल्लेखोर डंपर माफिया नितीन जगे याने राजस्थानला पलायन केले होते। पण नंतर तो ठाण्यात परतल्यावर त्याला आणि संजय नलावडे याला पोलिसांनी सापळा रचून शुक्रवारी ( 31 जानेवारी ) अटक केली आहे। तर, त्यांचे दोन साथीदार फरार असून पोलीस त्यांच्या मागावर आहेत। या हल्लेखोरांनी 24 जानेवारी रोजी रात्री 11 वाजेच्या सुमारास ट्रॉम्बे सायन रोडवर छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराज सर्कल जवळील इंडियन ऑइल पेट्रोलपंपासमोर आरटीओ निरीक्षक मनोज पैठणकर यांच्यावर हल्ला केला।
नितीन जगे आणि त्याच्या तीन साथीदारांनी पैठणकर यांच्या शासकीय बोलेरो मोटार जीपच्या मार्गात पांढऱ्या रंगाच्या दोन गाड्या घुसवून त्यांना रोखत घेरले आणि त्यांच्यावर हल्ला चढवला। हल्लेखोर पांढऱ्या रंगाची स्विफ्ट कार ( क्रमांक : एम एच 02 सिव्ही 5131 ) आणि पांढऱ्या रंगाची आणखी एक कार या दोन वाहनांतून आले होते। हल्ल्यामुळे आपण गोंधळून गेलो होतो।त्यांच्या दुसऱ्या गाडीचा क्रमांक नीट पाहू शकलो नाही। पण त्या क्रमांकाच्या शेवटी 222 असे आकडे होते, असे पैठणकर यांनी पोलिसांना दिलेल्या जबाबात म्हटले आहे।
हल्ला का केला…?
वाहनांच्या क्षमतेपेक्षा अधिक माल वाहतूक केल्याबद्दल नितीन जगे आणि संजय नलावडे यांच्या डंपरवर आरटीओ निरीक्षक मनोज पैठणकर यांनी दिनांक 14 जानेवारी आणि दिनांक 24 जानेवारीला अशी दोनदा दंड आकारण्याची कारवाई केली होती। डंपरची भार क्षमता 28 हजार किलो ग्रामइतकी आहे। पण नितीन जगे आणि त्यांच्या दलाल टोळीशी सम्बधित डंपरमधून 38 हजाराच्यावर म्हणजे 10 हजार अधिक माल वाहतूक केली जाते। चेंबूरच्या आर के कोम्युट्राईज्ड वजन काटा येथे स्पष्ट झाले होते।
कारवाईचे आदेश उच्च न्यायालयाचे.
वाहनांच्या भार क्षमतेपेक्षा अधिक माल वाहतूक केल्याने अपघातांना निमंत्रण तर मिळतेच। शिवाय, प्रमाणाबाहेर वजनदार माल वाहतूक केल्याने रस्त्यांची दुर्दशा होऊन सार्वजनिक मालमत्तेचे नुकसान होते। त्याची गंभीर दखल घेऊन डंपर माफियांवर कडक कारवाई करण्याचे आदेश मुंबई उच्च न्यायालयानेच दिले आहेत। त्यांची काटेकोर अंमलबजावणी आरटीओचे अधिकारी करत आहेत।
एका आरटीओ निरीक्षकावर ऑन ड्युटी करण्यात आलेल्या या हल्ल्याबद्दल परिवहन खात्यातील कर्मचारी संतापले असून आपल्या सुरक्षिततेबाबत चिंता व्यक्त करत आहेत।
गळ्यावर वार करण्याचा प्रयत्न थोडक्यात फसला…!
हल्लेखोरांनी पैठणकर यांच्या गळ्यावर वस्तऱ्यासारख्या धारदार शस्त्राने वार करण्याचा प्रयत्न केला। त्यावेळी आपला हात आडवा करून बचाव केलेल्या पैठणकर यांच्या हाताला तीन टाके घालावे लागले आहेत। त्यांच्यावर गोवंडीच्या शताब्दी रुग्णालयात उपचार करण्यात आले।
ट्रॉम्बे सायन रोडवर वाहन क्षमतेपेक्षा अधिक माल वाहून नेणाऱ्या वाहनांना अभय मिळवून देण्याच्या नावाखाली डंपर मालकांकडून खंडणी वसूल करणारी दलालांची टोळी कार्यरत आहे। आरटीओ निरीक्षक पैठणकर यांच्यावरील हल्ल्याच्या प्रकरणात अटकेत असलेला नितीन जगे आणि संजय नलावडे हे दोघे दलालांच्या टोळीचे म्होरके आहेत, असे आरटीओमधील कर्मचारी सांगतात।
◆ प्रमाणाबाहेर माल वाहतूक केल्याबद्दल आपण दि 24 जानेवारीला रात्री एका डंपरवर कारवाई केली। त्यावेळी डंपरचा चालक अनिलकुमार सुरेंद्रकुमार सरोज याने मोबाईलवरून नितीन जगे याला फोन लावला। त्याने जगे यांच्याशी बोलण्यास मला फर्मावले। पण मी त्याला नकार दिला। त्यानंतर तासाभरातच जगे याने साथीदारांच्या मदतीने घेरून माझ्यावर हल्ला केला।
