एकच साहेब बाबासाहेब- उपाध्यांप्रमाणे आचरण हवे-गुणाजी काजीर्डेकर
मनोगत-अत्यंत महत्प्रयासाने चालविलेल्या आणि टिकवून
ठेवलेल्या संपादक दिनकर कारभारी सोनकांबळे यांच्या “दैनिक विश्वपथ” या दैनिकात काम करीत आहे. दैनिकाबाबत चळवळीतील कार्यकर्ते उत्सुकतेपोटी विचारत असतात. आमच्या दैनिकाचे कार्यालय निदान सोशल मिडियावर तरी पाहता यावे म्हणून फेसबुकवर फोटो टाकला, आणि आमच्या तमाम चाहत्यांनी शुभेच्छांबरोबरच अभिनंदनाचा वर्षाव केला. काहींनी तर मला ‘दादासाहेब’ ही उपाधीच चिकटवली! थोडे बरे वाटले,पण मी अंर्तमुख होऊन विचार केला हे काही बरोबर नाही. चळवळीत जरा कोठे कार्यकर्ता चमकला की, खिरापत वाटल्यागत उपाध्या दिल्या जातात. हे असेच सुरू राहिल्यास उपाध्यांसाठीही राखून ठेवण्याची मागणी पुढे आल्यास आश्चर्य वाटण्याचे कारण नाही. ही कोटी नाही तर त्यामागे ते त्यामागे कार्यकर्त्याची कसोटीही असते. ज्यांच्या ढुंगणावर कालपर्यंत लंगोटी होती ते खरेच प्रामाणिकपणे वागले. तेच या कसोटीला जागले. पण चळवळ जसजशी प्रगत होत गेली, तसतशी तिचे बाह्य स्वरूपही बदलत गेले. चळवळीत अनेकजण नावारूपास आले, त्यांना उत्स्फुर्तपणे उपाध्या चिकटल्या. अर्थात त्या आदरापोटी होत्या. आजही त्या अधूनमधून डोकं वर काढतात.
नावारूपास आलेला कार्यकर्ता प्रस्थापित पक्षाच्या नजरेत भरतो.जे पक्ष पुरोगामी, बहुजनवाद्यांची चळवळ मोडून काढण्याचा आतून प्रयत्न करतात. चळवळीचा कणा मोडला की, कार्यकर्ता उताणी पडणार हे त्यांनी गृहीत धरलेले वास्तववादी समीकरण आहे. या समीकरणाचा बळी ठरलेला पूढारी रातोरात नेता होतो.
रात्री पक्षाची बैठक पार पडली की, दुस-या दिवशी नाक्यानाक्यावर लागलेल्या पोस्टर्सवर त्याची राष्ट्रीय नेता अशी ठळक अक्षरात छापलेले दिसायचे. आता हा प्रकार थोडा थांबलेला दिसतो. बहुतेक या पदापर्यंत पोहचण्यास ते लायक दिसत नसावेत, अन्यथा त्यांनीही उठाठेवी केल्या असत्या. किंवा त्यांना मर्यादा पडल्यामुळे हे सत्र थांबले असावे. त्यामुळे एक बरे झाले, ‘राष्ट्रीय’ या शब्दाचा होणारा अवमान थांबला.
