चर्मकार समाजाच्या उद्याच्या मोर्चाला
गणराज्य अधिष्ठानचा पाठिंबा
संत रविदास हे देशातील चर्मकार समाजाचे मानबिंदू आहेत। दलितांचे ‘मसीहा’ डॉ बाबाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांनी आपला ‘अस्पृश्य मूळचे कोण?’ हा ग्रँथ संत रविदास यांना अर्पण केलेला आहे। बाबासाहेबांनी दलितांना दिलेला ‘ शिका , संघटित व्हा, संघर्ष करा’ हा संदेश 16 व्या शतकातील संत शिरोमणी रविदासांच्या गुरू वाणीत सापडतो। तसेच शीख धर्माचे संस्थापक गुरू नानक यांनी ‘ ग्रँथ साहिबा’ मध्ये रविदास यांच्या दोह्यांना स्थान दिलेले आहे। त्यावरून रविदास यांची महती कळून चुकते।
राजधानी दिल्लीतील तुघलकाबाद येथे संत रविदास यांचे 60 वर्षे जुने मंदिर होते। त्याचे उदघाटन 1959 सालात तत्कालीन केंद्रीय मंत्री बाबू जगजीवन राम यांनी केले होते। ते मंदिर सरकारी जमिनीवरील अतिक्रमण ठरवून केंद्र सरकारच्या दिल्ली विकास प्राधिकरणाने जमीनदोस्त करून टाकले आहे। त्या विरोधात 10 ऑगस्टपासून पंजाब,हरियाणा, उत्तर प्रदेश, मध्य प्रदेश या राज्यातील लढाऊ चर्मकार समाजाने प्रखर आंदोलन चालवले आहे।
बुधवारी तर या आंदोलनाचे लोण दिल्लीत पोहोचले। रामलीला मैदानावर हजारो दलितांनी केंद्र सरकारला आंदोलनाचा तडाखा दिला। त्या आंदोलनाला हिंसक वळण लागल्यानंतर पोलिसांनी पाशवी बळाचा वापर केला। भीम आर्मीचे नेते ऍड चंद्रदेखर आझाद यांच्यासह शेकडो आंदोलकांना अटक करून 15 दिवसांसाठी तुरुंगात दाम्बण्यात आले आहे।
डॉ बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर आणि संत रविदास यांच्यातील वैचारिक अनुबंध इतर राज्यातील चर्मकार समाजाने जाणले आहेत, समजून घेतले आहेत। त्याचा मायावती आणि चंद्रशेखर आझाद यांच्या उत्तर प्रदेशातील एक किस्सा इथे आवर्जून सांगण्यासारखा आहे। दोन वर्षांपूर्वी सहारनपूर येथे दलितविरोधी हिंसाचार माजवण्यात आला होता। त्यावेळी शेजारच्या एका गावातील लढाऊ चर्मकार समाजाने संत रविदास यांच्या मंदिरात डॉ बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांच्या छोटेखानी पुतळ्याची स्थापना केली होती! संत शिरोमणी रविदास आणि बाबासाहेब यांच्यातील वैचारिक अनुबंध राज्यातील चर्मकार आणि बौद्ध या दोन्ही समाजानी जाणून घेण्याची गरज आहे।
संत रविदास यांचे मंदिर जमीनदोस्त केल्याच्या विरोधात मंगळवारी मुंबईतील आझाद मैदान येथे चर्मकार ऐक्य परिषदेतर्फे आयोजित धडक मोर्चाला आमच्या ‘गणराज्य अधिष्ठान’ या संघटनेतर्फे पाठिंबा देण्यात आला आहे। सर्वच आंबेडकरवादी पक्ष- संघटनांनी या मोर्चात सहभागी होऊन संत रविदास आणि डॉ बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांचा समान वैचारिक वारसा लाभलेल्या दोन समाजाना सांधण्याची संधी साधली पाहिजे।
