आज दिक्षा भूमीवर लाखोंचे धर्मांतर…!
धम्मचक्र प्रवर्तन दिनाचे औचित्य साधून ओबीसी समाजातील लाखो लोकानी बौद्ध धम्माची दीक्षा घेतली. त्यात शाहीर सीमा पाटील आणि त्यांचे सहकारी यांचा सहभाग आहे आजच्या देशभरात लाखो लोक बुद्ध धम्माची दिक्षा घेऊन बुद्धाचरणी नतमस्तक होत आहेत.
धम्मचक्र प्रवर्तन दिन हा भारतीय बौद्धांचा विशेषतः बौद्धांचा प्रसिद्ध व सर्वात प्रमुख सण आहे. हा उत्सव एक धर्मांतरण सोहळा आहे, १४ ऑक्टोबर १९५६ रोजी डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकरांनी आपल्या ५ लाख अनुयायांसोबत बौद्ध धर्माची दीक्षा घेतली होती.तेव्हापासून हा दिवस दरवर्षी ‘अशोक विजयी दशमी’ (दसरा) व १४ ऑक्टोबर रोजी देशभरासह जगभरातून लक्षावधी बौद्ध अनुयायी एकत्र येऊन दीक्षाभूमी येथे हा सण साजरा करतात.इ.स.पू. तिसऱ्या शतकात सम्राट अशोकांनी बौद्ध धम्माची दीक्षा घेतली होती. तेव्हा पासून हा दिवस अशोक विजयादशमी म्हणून बौद्ध अनुयायी साजरा करतात.
डॉ.बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांनी अशोक विजयादशमीच्या दिवशी १४ आक्टोबर इ.स. १९५६ रोजी नागपुरमध्ये आपल्या ५,००,००० अनुयायां सोबत बौद्ध धर्म स्विकारला होता. ती पवित्र भूमी आज दीक्षाभूमी नावाने ओळखली जाते.या दिवशी अनेक देशांतून आणि भारताच्या प्रत्येक राज्यांतून बौद्ध अनुयायी दरवर्षी दीक्षाभूमी, नागपुर येथे येऊन ‘धम्मचक्र प्रवर्तन दिवस’ हा उत्सव आनंदात साजरा करतात. महामानव डॉ.आंबेडकरांनी बौद्ध धर्म स्विकारुन भारतातून लुप्त झालेल्या बौद्ध धर्माचे पुनरुज्जीवन केले.या सोहळ्यात जगातील बौद्ध व्यक्ती आणि भारतातील राजकीय नेते दरवर्षी सहभागी होतात……!
हजारो वर्षांची मानसिक गुलामगिरीतुन मुक्त करीत भारतीय मागास समाजाला बुद्धाच्या मानवतेच्या कल्याणकारी धम्माच्या मार्गावर नेऊन एकाच दिवशी जवळपास पाच लाख लोकांना बुद्धाच्या धम्माची दीक्षा दिली.या दिवशी अनेक देशांतून आणि भारताच्या प्रत्येक राज्यांतून बौद्ध अनुयायी दरवर्षी दीक्षाभूमी, नागपुर येथे येऊन ‘धम्मचक्र प्रवर्तन दिवस’ हा उत्सव आनंदात साजरा करतात.महामानव डॉ.आंबेडकरांनी बौद्ध धर्म स्विकारुन भारतातून लुप्त झालेल्या बौद्ध धर्माचे पुनरुज्जीवन केले.या सोहळ्यात जगातील बौद्ध व्यक्ती आणि भारतातील राजकीय नेते दरवर्षी सहभागी होतात……!
