पुणे : काँग्रेस खासदार राजीव सातव यांचे कोरोनामुळे निधन झाले असल्याचे वृत्त आहे. ते ४६ वर्षांचे होते . सातव यांच्यावर पुण्यातील जहांगीर रुग्णालयात उपचार सुरू होते. मागील 21 दिवसांपासून ते व्हेंटिलेटरवर होते. खासदार राजीव सातव यांना एप्रिल महिन्यात कोरोनाची लागण झाली होती. सुरूवातील त्यांची प्रकृती चिंताजनक होती. मात्र, नंतर त्यांची प्रकृती सुधारत असल्याची माहिती काँग्रेसकडून देण्यात आली होती. मात्र, दोन दिवसांपासून त्यांची प्रकृती पुन्हा खालावली होती. त्यांच्या निधनानंतर राजकीय वर्तुळासह सर्वच स्तरातून हळहळ व्यक्त होत आहे.
राजीव सातव यांना १९ एप्रिलपासून अस्वस्थ वाटत होतं. कोविडची लक्षणं दिसत असल्यानं त्यांनी २१ एप्रिल रोजी करोना चाचणी केली होती. २२ एप्रिल रोजी चाचणी अहवाल समोर आल्यानंतर त्यांना करोनाचा संसर्ग झाल्याचं निष्पन्न झालं. अहवाल आल्यानंतर दुसऱ्या दिवशी म्हणजे २३ एप्रिल रोजी सातव यांना पुण्यातील जहांगीर रुग्णालयात दाखल करण्यात आले होते. सुरूवातीला त्याची प्रकृती चांगली होती. मात्र, २५ एप्रिलनंतर प्रकृती बिघडली. त्यामुळे त्यांना अतिदक्षता विभागात अर्थात आयसीयू वार्डात हलवण्यात आले होते. त्यानंतर त्यांना मुंबई हलवण्याची चर्चाही सुरू झाली होती. मात्र, त्यांच्या प्रकृतीत पुन्हा सुधारणा होऊ लागली होती.
दरम्यान, शनिवारी (१५ मे) काँग्रेसचे नेते व मंत्री बाळासाहेब थोरात यांनी रूग्णालयात जाऊन, सातव यांच्यावर उपचार करणाऱ्या डॉक्टरांची भेट घेत विचारपूस केली. यानंतर माध्यमांशी बोलताना त्यांनी ‘राजीव सातव यांना काल रात्र थोडा त्रास जाणवला, मात्र ते लवकरच बरे होतील,’ असे म्हटले होते मात्र, त्यानंतर उपचारादरम्यान त्यांचे निधन झाले. सातव यांच्यावर करोना उपचार सुरू होते. उपचार सुरू असतानाच त्यांच्या शरीरात सायटोमॅजिलो व्हायरस (Cytomegalovirus) आढळून आला होता. हा व्हायरसही नवीन प्रकारचा असून, ज्या व्यक्तींची रोग प्रतिकार शक्ती चांगली आहे ते या विषाणू संसर्गावर मात करु शकतात. ज्या व्यक्तींची रोग प्रतिकार शक्ती कमजोर असते त्यांच्याशी हा विषाणू धोकादायक ठरु शकतो.
काँग्रेसचे राष्ट्रीय प्रवक्ते रणदीप सुरजेवाला यांनी ट्विट करून राजीव सातव यांचं निधन झाल्याची माहिती दिली. काँग्रेसचे नेते राहुल गांधी यांच्या निकटवर्तीयांपैकी एक असलेल्या राजीव सातव यांच्या निधनाबद्दल सुरजेवाला यांनी दुःख व्यक्त केले आहे. “निःशब्द! आज मी असा सहकारी गमावला आहे, ज्याने सार्वजनिक जीवनातील पहिले पाऊल माझ्यासोबत युवक काँग्रेसमध्ये ठेवले होते आणि आजपर्यंत माझ्यासोबत चालत होते…. राजीव सातव यांचा साधेपणा, त्यांचं हास्य, जमिनीशी असलेली नाळ, नेतृत्वाशी आणि पक्षासोबत असलेली निष्ठा व मैत्री नेहमीच आठवत राहिल. माझ्या मित्रा अलविदा, जिथेही राहशील, झळाळत रहा,” अशा शोकभावना सुरजेवाला यांनी व्यक्त केल्या आहेत.
राजीव सातव यांची राजकीय कारकिर्द
राजीव सातव यांना अखिल भारतीय काँग्रेस कमिटीचे गुजरातच्या प्रभारीपदाची जबाबदारी देण्यात आली होती. तसेच ते काँग्रेसच्या कार्यकारी समितीचे निमंत्रक होते. शिवसेनेचे माजी खासदार सुभाष वानखेडेंना पराभूत करुन राजीव सातव २०१४ मधील लोकसभा निवडणुकीत हिंगोलीतून खासदारपदी निवडून आले होते. राजीव सातव यांच्या मातोश्री रजनी सातव काँग्रेसच्या आमदार होत्या.
राजीव सातव यांनी फेब्रुवारी २०१० ते डिसेंबर २०१४ असे चार वर्षे भारतीय युवक काँग्रेसचे अध्यक्षपद भूषवले होते. राजीव सातव यांच्या नेतृत्वात काँग्रेसने सन २०१७ मधील गुजरात विधानसभा निवडणुकीत चांगले यश मिळवले होते.
