मुंबईतील माता रमाबाई आंबेडकर नगर,ठाणे पश्चिम रेल्वे स्टेशच्या बाहेरील आणि कल्याण पश्चिमेतील डाॅ.आंबेडकर गार्डन अन अशा अनेक ठिकाणात उभ्या असणार्या महामानव डाॅ.बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांच्या विविध भावमुद्रांकित शिल्पचित्र (पुतळे) साकारणारे कुर्ल्यातील प्रशिध्द शिल्पकार स्वप्निल कदम म्हणजे नव्या पिढीतील शिल्पकारांसाठी प्रेरणासोस्र आहेत.
महामानव डाॅ बाबासाहेब,छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराज,छत्रपती शाहु महाराज, महात्मा जोतिबा फुले,ज्ञान ज्योती सावित्रीमाई फुले,रमाई ,विवेकानंद आदि बहुजन आदर्शांच्या कलाकृती बनविण्याचा मान त्यांना मिळालाय.त्यांनी संधीचे सोन करीत एकच साच्याच्या भावमुद्रा न साकार करता विविध भावमुद्रा साकारण्याचे कसब त्यांनी अंगीकारले त्यामुळे महामानवांचे विविध हावभाव सजीव असल्यासारखे भासतात.
डाॅ.बाबासाहेबांच्या विविध भावमुद्रा अन ऐतिहासिक प्रसंगाचे ते रेखाटन करत आहेत. नुकतेच www.ambedkaree.com च्या सोबत संवाद साधतांना त्यांनी आपला मानस व्यक्त केला, बाबासाहेब त्यांच्या विविध भावमुद्रातुन उलगडुन दाखवण्याचे मोठे काम करण्याचा त्यांचा मानस वाखाणण्यासारखाच.खरंतर कलेतुन कलाकार प्रभाविपणे आपले विचार मांडतो त्यांनी केलेला संकल्प हा त्याचाच भाग.
स्वप्निल कदम मुळचे कोकणातले,सिंधुदुर्ग जिल्हातले घरात कलेला वारसा असलेले मोठे काका व वडिल ही मोठे कलाकार.त्यामुळे आपण जोपासत असलेली कला ती आपल्याकडिल विद्यार्थ्यांना देण्यास ते तत्पर असतात. आपल्या समाजातील कला शाखेत काम करणार्या विद्यार्थांना ते मार्गदर्शनही करतात.
