देशातील बहुसंख्याक हिंदू हे धार्मिक वृत्तीचे आहेत; ते सारेच काही धर्मांध वा परधर्मद्वेष्ट्ये नाहीत. त्यांच्यातील सहिष्णुता लोप पावलेली नाही, असे सांगतानाच धार्मिक हिंदू आणि उन्मादी धर्माध यांच्यात लोकशाहीवाद्यांनी फरक केला पाहिजे, असा सल्ला प्रख्यात दलित साहित्यिक अर्जुन डांगळे यांनी येथे दिला. ते बुधवारी राजर्षी शाहू महाराज यांच्या जयंतीनिमित्त खारघरच्या सत्त्याग्रह अध्यापक महाविद्यालयातील एका व्याख्यानमालेत बोलत होते.

काँग्रेसने धार्मिक हिंदू आणि धर्माध यांच्यात फरक न करण्याची चूक तर केलीच. शिवाय, ‘भगवा दहशतवाद’ हा चुकीचा शब्दप्रयोगही केला. त्यातून त्यांनी सहिष्णू हिंदुनांही स्वतःहून भाजपकडे लोटले, असा स्पष्ट आरोप अर्जुन डांगळे यांनी यावेळी केला. व्ही. पी. सिंग यांनी पंतप्रधान असतांना ओबीसींना मंडल आयोगाचे आरक्षण आणि बौद्धांना केंद्रातही सवलती दिल्या. डॉ बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांना भारतरत्न देतानाच संसदेत तैलचित्र लावून त्यांचे चलनी नाणेही जनता दलाच्या सरकारने काढले, असे सांगून डांगळे पुढे म्हणाले की, त्यांनतर व्ही. पी. सिंग यांचे सरकार पाडले गेले. त्यामुळे त्यांना त्या निर्णयांचा कोणताही लाभ मिळाला नाही हे उघड आहे. पण व्ही. पी. सिंग सरकारच्या त्या निर्णयांमुळे डॉ आंबेडकर यांच्याविषयी काँग्रेसच्या मनात अढी असल्याचे अधोरेखित झाले. त्या पक्षाची आजची अवस्था हा त्याचाच दूरगामी परिणाम आहे.
मागच्या खेपेला नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी पंतप्रधान बनल्यानंतर संसदेपुढे नतमस्तक होऊनच लोकसभेत प्रवेश केला होता. यावेळी त्यांनी देशाच्या संविधानाला वंदन केले. पण राज्यघटनेशी विसंगत असलेला धर्माधिष्ठित राष्ट्राचा विचार मोदी यांनी डोक्यातून काढून टाकला काय, असा सवाल डांगळे यांनी आपल्या भाषणात केला।
पुणे करार हा हिंदू आणि अस्पृश्य समाजातील सहमती: डोंगरगावकर
पुणे करारात केवळ गांधीजी आणि डॉ बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर हे दोनच नेते नव्हते. त्यात मदन मोहन मालवीय यांच्यासारखे हिंदू महासभेचे नेतेही सहभागी होते. त्यामुळे तो करार म्हणजे हिंदू आणि अस्पृश्य या दोन समाजातील सहमती होती, असे प्रतिपादन गण राज्य अधिष्ठानचे अध्यक्ष प्रा. डॉ. जी. के. डोंगरगावकर यांनी प्रारंभिक भाषणात केले. त्या करारात सामंजस्याने ठरलेल्या गोष्टींना आता नकार देणे हा त्याचा भंग तर आहेच. शिवाय, दलितांचा तो विश्वासघातही आहे, असेही ते म्हणाले. ‘गण राज्य अधिष्ठान’ या संघटनेने सुरू केलेल्या या व्याख्यानमालेच्या अध्यक्षस्थानी ज्येष्ठ पत्रकार दिवाकर शेजवळ होते. तर, प्रसिद्ध राजकीय विश्लेषक सुनील कदम हे प्रमुख अतिथी होते. या कार्यक्रमात प्रमुख अतिथी आणि व्याख्यात्यांचे स्वागत गण राज्य अधिष्ठानतर्फे सतीश डोंगरे, मनोज पैठणकर, सुनील इंगळे, विक्रांत लव्हांडे यांनी पुष्पगुच्छ देऊन केले.
