मानवधर्माचा प्रेषित
आंबेडकर हे हिंदुधर्माचे शत्रू आहेत असे जे म्हणतात त्यांना आंबेडकर सुतराम समजले नाहीत . हिंदुधर्माचे आणि समाजाचे जातीभेदाने,अस्पृश्यतेने आणि भिक्षुकशाहीने वाटोळे केलेले असून त्यांच्या कचाट्यातून त्यांची जर ताबडतोब मुक्तता केली नाही आणि स्वातंत्र्य,समता आणि बंधुभाव ह्या तत्वांच्या पायावर हिंदुधर्माला आणि समाजाला ‘नवजन्म’ दिला नाही तर देशाला मिळालेले स्वातंत्र्य हा वर ठरण्याऐवजी शापच ठरेल असे त्यांचे मत होते . दोन हजार वर्षांत हिंदुधर्मातील अन्याय आणि विषमता ह्यांच्याविरुद्ध बंड करणारा एकही महापुरुष निर्माण झालेला नाही . देशाला स्वातंत्र्य मिळून राजकीय समता प्रस्थापित झाल्यानंतर सामाजिक,धार्मिक आणि आर्थिक समता प्रस्थापित करण्याची आंबेडकरांना तीव्रतेने निकड लागून राहिली . एका क्षेत्रात समता आणि दुसऱ्या क्षेत्रात विषमता अशी जर राष्ट्रीय जीवनात विसंगती राहिली तर तिच्यामुळे ह्या देशातले लोकशाही राज्ययंत्र कोलमडून पडेल,असे घटनासमितीला त्यांनी बजावून सांगितले . तथापि,ह्या देशात राजकीय क्रांती करणे सोपे आहे ,पण धार्मिक आणि सामाजिक क्रांती घडवून आणणे अशक्यप्राय आहे,असेच म्हणावे लागेल .
आंबेडकरांसारखा द्रष्टा नि विधायक मुत्सद्दी आणि सुधारक आधुनिक काळात ह्या भारतात दुसरा होऊन गेलेला नाही . ह्यांत एका अक्षराची अतिशयोक्ती नाही .
… भारताचा उद्धार व्हावा ह्या तळमळीने ज्यांनी उभ्या आयुष्यात सत्य जाणण्यासाठी ज्ञानाची अघोर तपश्चर्या केली आणि सत्याचा साक्षात्कार झाल्यानंतर राज्यकर्त्यांच्या,धर्ममार्तंडांच्या आणि लोकनेत्यांच्या रागालोभाची पर्वा न करता आपल्या सर्वस्वाचे बलिदान करून ज्यांनी जन्मभर ते सत्य सांगण्याचा प्रयत्न केला ,असा आंबेडकरांसारखा युगप्रवर्तक महात्मा पुन्हा भारतात केव्हा निर्माण होईल , कोणास ठाऊक !
