संपूर्ण भारतवर्षात महामानव डॉ बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांनी रक्ताचा एक ही थेंब न सांडता आपल्या बुद्धीच्या जोरावर हजारो पिढ्यांची सामाजिक गुलामगिरी नष्ट करुन सामाजिक क्रांती केली त्या महामनव डॉ बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांचा प्रथम शाळा प्रवेश दिन ७ नोव्हेंबर १९०० ला महाराष्ट्र राज्यातील शाळांमध्ये साजरा केला जातो.
शिक्षण चा पहिला प्रवेश :
डॉ बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांनी सातारा येथील प्रतापसिंह हायस्कूल मध्ये ७ नोव्हेंबर १९०० ला घेतला.सामजिक विषमता व वर्णवादाचा बिमोड करण्यासाठी डॉ बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांच्या वडिलांनी अर्थात रामजी सकपाळ यांनी लहानग्या भिवा ला त्या शाळेत दाखल केले.शाळेच्या रजिस्टर मध्ये १९१४ क्रमांकाच्या समोर त्यांची सही आहे. येथील शाळेने हे रजिस्टर आजही जपून ठेवले आहे.
ज्ञानाची कवाडे याच दिवशी महामानव डॉ बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांच्यासाठी प्रथम उघडली आणि खऱ्या सामाजिक क्रांतीचा पाया रचला गेला.
अरुण जावळे यानी केला पाठपुरावा:
याच गावातील प्रवर्तन संस्थेचे अध्यक्ष अरुण जावळे यांनी यासंदर्भात महाराष्ट्र राज्याचे तत्कालीन सामाजिक न्यायमंत्री राजकुमार बडोळे आणि शिक्षण मंत्री विनोद तावडे यांच्याकडे केली होती.दोन्ही मंत्र्यांनी याची दखल घेऊन महामानव डॉ बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांचा प्रथम शाळाप्रवेश ७ नोव्हेंबर हा दिन शासकीय विद्यार्थी दिवस म्हणून साजरा करण्याचा निर्णय घेतला.
पुढे याच शाळेचा हा विद्यार्थी जागतिक विद्वान ,प्रकांड पंडित बनला आणि देशातील विषमता नष्ट करून आधुनिक भारताचा शिल्पकार अर्थातच भारतीय राज्यघटनेचे शिल्पकार झाले.त्यांचा प्रथम शाळा प्रवेश ही एक क्रांतिकारक घटना होती तिची नोंद व्हावी आणि विद्यार्थीवर्गाला याची माहिती व्हावी म्हणून हा दिवस विद्यार्थी दिवस डॉ बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांच्या कार्यावर विविध स्पर्धा व त्यांचा जीवनपट माहिती घेऊन साजरा करण्यात येत आहे.
